Role Summary
This position involves more than cold-calling; it focuses on developing a trusted, collaborative relationship with Ignite—one of 8x8's key channel partners in Australia—targeting mid-market and enterprise clients upgrading their communications infrastructure.
You will serve as a vital connection between 8x8 and Ignite’s sales teams by co-developing joint value propositions, handling partner leads, coordinating account mapping efforts with both companies’ account executives, and generating qualified sales opportunities beneficial to both teams. Success is measured by pipeline quality, alignment, and relationship strength.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Ignite’s sales leadership and 8x8’s Channel Account Manager to co-create joint value propositions, go-to-market messaging, and targeted campaigns.
- Adapt 8x8’s customer experience platform messaging to resonate with the specific verticals and buyer personas of Ignite’s market segments.
- Lead weekly account mapping sessions with Ignite and 8x8 APAC account executives to identify and prioritize warm leads and entry points.
- Organize and facilitate blitz days, prospecting events, and roundtables to engage Ignite’s sales staff effectively.
- Ensure comprehensive multi-threaded engagement with three to five stakeholders within each prioritized account.
- Conduct thorough discovery calls using structured qualification frameworks to assess suitability, challenges, business impact, and buying processes.
- Maintain detailed Value Map and point-of-view documents that validate meetings into qualified opportunities and build trust with account executives.
- Transfer qualified leads to account executives only after management approval to ensure lead quality.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with Ignite’s sales personnel, becoming their first contact for partner-related inquiries.
- Provide transparent weekly updates on pipeline progress, successes, and areas needing adjustments to both teams.

- Follow a practical, manager-reviewed sales playbook focusing on structured qualification, mandatory multi-contact engagement, and comprehensive documentation.
- Maintain tight alignment between sales development representatives and account executives, involving joint briefs and shared accountability beyond initial lead stages.
- Utilize modern, intelligent prospecting techniques, including AI-assisted research and partner-warm data, favoring quality conversations over quantity.
- Focus on delivering well-qualified sales leads with documented engagement and agreed next steps, favoring depth over volume.
- Contribute to building scalable partnership models, using the collaboration with Ignite as a blueprint for future alliances.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2-5 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or partner sales preferably within B2B SaaS, telecom, UCaaS, or contact center technologies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in conducting structured discovery and qualification without dependency on scripts.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities, producing compelling messages and concise summaries valued by account executives.
- Comfortable collaborating alongside another company's sales teams managing dual priorities with a unified objective.
- Proficient in navigating Salesforce effectively.
- Hold Australian work authorization and willingness to travel domestically to partner offices and client sites.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in channel or partner-driven sales models.
- Familiarity with customer experience, contact center, UCaaS, or CPaaS solutions.
- Track record in establishing new sales territories, methods, or partnerships.
- Interest in applying AI technologies to enhance sales workflows.
