Role summary
QNAP Canada Inc. is looking for an experienced Operations General Manager to direct its Canadian business operations. The position involves leading planning, organization, execution, oversight, and evaluation of the company’s activities across sales, marketing, channel growth, e-commerce, and broader operations. The right candidate will provide strategic direction, accelerate market growth, and shape initiatives that support long-term objectives in Canada.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will guide the company’s business direction and ensure operational alignment with growth plans across distribution, system integrators, retail and e-commerce, and public sector markets.
You will oversee sales, channel development, marketing, customer support, and operational workstreams to keep business execution effective and consistent with corporate goals.
The position requires managing human, financial, and operational resources, while putting in place performance metrics, forecasting routines, budget controls, and promotional plans to support steady expansion.
You will also coach, assess, and develop managers and team leads, while contributing to hiring, workforce planning, and employee development so the organization remains high-performing.
Another part of the role is coordinating internal teams and outside partners such as distributors, system integrators, retailers, and strategic alliances to ensure plans are implemented successfully.
You will represent the company in negotiations, industry forums, strategic partnerships, government interactions, and other formal business settings, and you may lead major customer accounts and large projects in enterprise, public sector, education, healthcare, and government segments.
Employment details
This is a full-time permanent position based at 21 Amber Street Suite 11, Markham, ON, L3R 4Z3, Canada. The language of work is English.
Compensation is CAD 75.44 per hour, which is equivalent to about CAD 13,077 per month based on a 40-hour workweek. The annual package can go up to CAD 170,000, including an end-of-year bonus.

Employment requirements
The company is seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, management, or a related area, with emphasis on sales, business operations, or technology-related studies.
Applicants should have at least 7 years of progressive management experience in sales, business operations, channel development, or a comparable leadership role, ideally in technology, IT infrastructure, storage, surveillance, or another service industry.
Strong knowledge of NAS, video surveillance, networking, and IT storage infrastructure ecosystems is required.
Successful candidates should also have a track record of driving business growth, expanding into markets, and building operational strategies in international settings, preferably across North America, along with strong negotiation, communication, people management, and cross-cultural leadership abilities.
