Job description

Job Overview

This role is positioned within the Production department, specifically engaged in granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation activities in a pharmaceutical environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GxP), environmental health & safety standards, and all relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Complete all necessary training on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and execute tasks accordingly, promptly reporting any deviations or challenges encountered.
  • Plan and organize departmental operations aligning with delivery deadlines, ensuring timely availability and proper management of raw materials, bulk substances, and finished products.
  • Collaborate effectively with Quality Control (QC), Research & Development (R&D), Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), and other internal teams to guarantee seamless production processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, discipline, and compliance with current good manufacturing practices throughout production areas.
  • Optimize resources including manpower, machinery, and materials, manage inventory efficiently, and assign responsibilities to maximize productivity.
  • Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformities, and complaints; implement corrective and preventive action plans to rectify issues.
  • Supervise validation efforts, prepare and critically review qualification documentation, and update procedural guidelines to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot operational machinery and process issues; ensure effective application of change control procedures.
  • Support quality management systems by documenting and communicating discrepancies, non-conformance incidents, or other issues to departmental and QA leadership.
  • Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Unit Head.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Experience: 5 to 9 years in relevant pharmaceutical production or manufacturing environments.
  • Education: A graduate degree in Pharmacy is required.
