Night Porter

Role Overview

As a Night Porter at Dalata Hotel Group based in Glasgow, you will be integral to ensuring smooth guest experiences and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the property during night hours. You will be supported through dedicated training at the Dalata Academy and mentored by experienced team members to facilitate your career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and assist with luggage and porterage requests.
• Maintain cleanliness across various hotel areas including the lobby, back office, stairways, restaurant, bar floors, public and staff zones, and meeting rooms.
• Execute additional cleaning duties and function room setups as directed by management and follow the night checklist.
• Manage the upkeep of the hotel entrances and external surroundings by emptying bins and removing rubbish promptly.
• Comprehend and adhere to the hotel’s fire safety procedures ensuring the safety of guests and staff at all times.
• Set up meeting rooms as part of nightly responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience engaging with customers.
• Proficiency in spoken English.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and work collaboratively within a team.
