Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and maintaining taxonomy frameworks covering diverse topics such as industries, regions, and events under expert guidance.
  • Learn to create and enhance classification rules involving synonyms and variants through training and practice.
  • Review classifications to improve search precision and recall.
  • Analyze global news and business data to discover emerging subjects and evolving terminology requiring taxonomy updates.
  • Research and define new concepts with clarity and consistency aligned with taxonomy standards.
  • Utilize AI technologies to aid taxonomy work, critically assessing AI outputs for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Contribute to the development of taxonomy documentation, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with a worldwide team.

Requirements

  • Strong enthusiasm for international news, current affairs, economics, or geopolitics.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and analytical.
  • Ability to recognize patterns and manage information systematically.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensuring consistent high-quality output.
  • Interest in the ethical application of AI in knowledge-related tasks.
  • Experience or exposure to taxonomy development, metadata, content classification, or library sciences.
  • A relevant academic background or related experience in fields such as information science, journalism, humanities, or social sciences.
