About the Role
Embrace a leadership position in revolutionizing vehicle access with Karmo, Australia's leading car subscription provider. As National Fleet Manager, you will spearhead the nationwide fleet operations, pushing cost-efficient growth and optimizing vehicle usage on a grand scale. This role calls for a strategic and proactive leader who excels in enhancing processes, ensuring strict adherence to state legislation, and developing scalable systems to support rapid expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct state teams to maximize fleet utilization via vehicle allocation, strategic planning, and managing vehicle lifecycles.
- Oversee fleet maintenance, repairs, logistics, including spare key auditing, vehicle registration, and controlling infringements, ensuring budget compliance.
- Guarantee compliance with legal standards concerning vehicle conditions, safety, and fuel management across state jurisdictions.
- Manage activation of tracking devices and deployment of telematics tools to enhance tracking, reporting, and security measures.
- Support internal dashboard and 'Vault' systems to ensure fleet data accuracy across platforms.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to maintain vendor relationships and negotiate advantageous terms.
- Drive continuous improvement of fleet management processes through regular audits and provide detailed reports on costs, revenues, and expenditures to leadership.
Candidate Profile
- At least three years of leadership experience within the motor industry, with a proven track record managing national teams and logistics operations.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence and completion of high school education.
- Experience in fleet rental or vehicle subscription businesses; familiarity with budgeting and financial oversight is advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in fleet operations, cost management, and achievement of KPIs.
- Strong comprehension of automotive fleet management and ability to utilize data to guide business decisions.
- Excellent administrative capabilities for managing compliance paperwork, complemented by proficient digital literacy and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with fleet management systems and technological platforms.
