Job description

Role Overview

The Merchandising Supervisor will oversee merchandising activities across designated retail locations, focusing on enhancing product visibility, maintaining adequate stock levels, and ensuring adherence to established company standards. This position aims to boost sales performance, lead merchandising personnel, and uphold strong connections with retail partners and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of merchandisers through active supervision and motivation.
  • Develop and continuously update journey plans for merchandising operations.
  • Track attendance, productivity, and performance indicators of the merchandising team.
  • Conduct on-site field visits and provide coaching to improve execution.
  • Guarantee precise product arrangement following planograms and maintain shelf availability with correct pricing and first-in-first-out product rotation.
  • Coordinate stock replenishment with sales and logistics teams to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with brand and merchandising standards across stores.
  • Analyze sales figures and merchandising metrics such as shelf share and out-of-stock rates to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support and facilitate promotional events, product launches, and point-of-sale displays.
  • Foster strong relationships with store managers and retail partners to negotiate promotional placements and resolve merchandising issues.
  • Prepare and submit reports on merchandising activities regularly and utilize sales/merchandising software and handheld devices for efficient data management.
  • Provide insights to sales teams and senior management regarding market trends and competitor activities.
  • Document merchandising execution through photographic evidence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Possess 3 to 5 years of merchandising experience within FMCG, preferably in frozen food categories.
  • Prior experience working with Saudi retail chains such as Panda, Danube, Carrefour, discounters, and other key retailers is mandatory.
