Medical Assistant (eClinicalWorks)

About the Role

Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostics, PA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team in Tampa, FL. This full-time, onsite position involves supporting healthcare providers with a mix of clinical and administrative tasks. A key requirement for this role is proven experience with the eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic health record system.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient flow by taking vital signs, documenting patient information, and preparing them for examinations.
• Provide direct assistance to physicians during patient examinations and medical procedures.
• Maintain and update patient records accurately within the eClinicalWorks (eCW) system.
• Manage patient check-in, appointment scheduling, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Handle incoming phone calls, process prescription refill requests, and respond to patient inquiries.
• Ensure all examination rooms are kept clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency and prior experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Possess excellent communication and strong organizational capabilities.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and standard healthcare procedures is essential.
