Role Overview

As a Meat Cutter at Farm Boy, you will embody our dedication to quality by expertly preparing meats while delivering excellent customer service. Your craftsmanship, keen attention to detail, and teamwork will contribute to ensuring our service counters consistently reflect our fresh and welcoming store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, confident customer service that aligns with Farm Boy's commitment to a superior fresh shopping experience.
• Welcome and assist customers, showcasing your product knowledge and enthusiasm following Farm Boy Service Standards.
• Skillfully prepare and cut meats for display, maintaining appetizing presentation and high product standards.
• Package, stock, and rotate products on display counters and shelves to ensure freshness and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of work and storage areas through routine housekeeping including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
• Adhere to all company policies especially regarding Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP compliance, and proper use of equipment.
• Support and mentor team members enrolled in the Meat Cutter development program to foster skills and operational excellence.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and assist colleagues as required.
• Aid the leadership team with operational tasks such as inventory counting and ordering supplies.
• Take on additional duties periodically to support overall department operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• A genuine passion for providing engaging and excellent customer service.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional quality, attention to detail, and cleanliness.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining high service and quality standards.
• Preparedness for physically demanding work that includes standing for long periods, heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, use of protective clothing, and work in cooler environments.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English is required; French language skills are an advantage.
