MDM Quality Officer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated MDM Quality Officer to join our team in Ahmedabad, India, with the core responsibility of ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of master data within the Finance and Procurement sectors. This pivotal role involves leading data quality initiatives, establishing standards, and overseeing governance processes that uphold superior data quality for both operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive data quality frameworks, standards, and KPIs across all master data domains.
• Establish and maintain governance procedures to guarantee strict compliance with data policies.
• Lead data profiling and validation efforts focusing on dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, validity, and uniqueness.
• Create dashboards and reports to track data quality trends and adherence.
• Conduct root cause analyses for data quality issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Manage issue logs and ensure resolution within prescribed service level agreements.
• Identify and promote automation opportunities for data quality assessments and cleansing processes.
• Suggest tool and process enhancements to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Data Owners, Stewards, and various business teams to maintain quality standards.
• Deliver presentations on data quality metrics and recommendations to leadership and governance bodies.
• Supervise and guide a team of MDM Quality Analysts, distribute tasks, and oversee performance.
• Facilitate capability development and training programs focusing on data quality best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in managing data quality and understanding related principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across organizational levels.
• Familiarity with data management systems and enterprise-level solutions.
• Hands-on experience with data governance and Master Data Management (MDM) tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of recognized data governance and quality frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.
• Expertise with Oracle EBS, Fusion, or similar MDM platforms.
