Overview
We are seeking a proactive and data-oriented Marketing/Product Analyst who excels at transforming marketing, product, and customer data into meaningful business insights. This position involves close collaboration with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Business divisions to analyze various core metrics including acquisition channels, campaign performance, user behavior, conversion funnels, engagement, retention, and revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine the entire customer journey from lead generation through acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and revenue realization.
- Track and assess marketing campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, organic search, social media, referrals, and other acquisition avenues.
- Monitor essential marketing performance metrics including impressions, clicks, cost per lead (CPL), customer acquisition cost (CAC), conversion rates, return on ad spend (ROAS), return on investment (ROI), and lead quality.
- Utilize Google Analytics to analyze website traffic patterns, user behavior, source channels, landing page efficiency, and conversion events.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports employing tools like Looker Studio and Metabase.
- Perform funnel analysis to identify drop-off points, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization in product and marketing processes.
- Conduct customer segmentation, cohort, retention, and behavioral studies.
- Work alongside Marketing and Product teams to set relevant metrics and quantify the impact of campaigns, product updates, and experiments.
- Facilitate A/B testing by establishing success criteria, interpreting results, and recommending subsequent actions.
- Extract, structure, and scrutinize data from AWS-hosted sources and internal systems.
- Create data trackers, reports, and simple analytical models utilizing Google Sheets.
- Automate repetitive reporting tasks to minimize manual data handling.
- Ensure data validity and resolve discrepancies between dashboards, advertising platforms, and internal reports.
- Translate intricate data analyses into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Identify trends, possible risks, and growth opportunities early through diligent data analysis.
Qualifications and Experience
- Between 1 to 3 years experience in fields such as marketing analytics, product analytics, growth analytics, or business analytics.
- Proficient in SQL with practical experience in data querying.
- Skilled in creating dashboards and generating reports using Looker Studio and Metabase.
- Experience handling data from Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Google Analytics.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning, and reporting.
- Exposure to analyzing and extracting data from AWS infrastructure.
- Firm understanding of marketing and product funnels, customer journeys, and conversion-related metrics.
- Knowledge of metrics like CPL, CAC, ROAS, ROI, conversion rates, retention, engagement, and lifetime value (LTV).
- Ability to manage large datasets and synthesize findings into practical business strategies.
- Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication of insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepared to handle a fast-moving startup environment with dynamic priorities and complex challenges.
- Demonstrates ownership, agility, intellectual curiosity, and a bias toward action.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with product analytics or customer engagement tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, MoEngage, or CleverTap.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python or R aimed at data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with campaign attribution, cohort analysis, experimentation methodologies, and executing A/B tests.
- Experience working with AWS services including Redshift, Athena, S3, or QuickSight.
- Background in industries such as EdTech, consumer internet, SaaS, e-commerce, or rapidly growing startups.
