Job Overview
This role involves overseeing the security of applications and AI-based solutions across enterprise environments. The manager will lead governance, secure design, development lifecycle integration, vulnerability management, and risk assessments related to AI and application security.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold comprehensive application and AI security programs, defining standards and controls that comply with cybersecurity and privacy regulations.
- Perform secure design reviews and threat modeling on applications, APIs, cloud platforms, AI use cases, and AI workflows to detect security weaknesses.
- Integrate security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle, guiding development teams on secure coding, API protection, and DevSecOps strategies.
- Manage application security testing outputs including static and dynamic analysis, API scans, software composition, container security, and manual security assessments.
- Evaluate AI use cases for cybersecurity, privacy, legal, and data protection risks, including analyzing AI data flows and third-party AI integrations.
- Provide expert guidance and continuous monitoring of emerging threats, fostering secure AI adoption and reporting security metrics to leadership.
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication abilities and a risk-based security approach.
- Proven experience with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and threat modeling methods.
- Knowledge of API security, source code review, and DevSecOps practices.
- Exposure to AI and large language model technologies through implementation, governance, or security evaluation.
- Preference for candidates with experience in regulated environments and relevant certifications such as CSSLP, GWAPT, CISSP, or AI security/governance vendor certificates.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity, or a related discipline, with a minimum of four years in pertinent security roles.
