The Manufacturing Operations team ensures production of high-quality pharmaceutical products while maintaining a "Safety First, Quality Always" culture and continuous improvement ethos. This role supports the global manufacturing network to uphold stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and perform engineering and maintenance tasks involving installation, modifications, troubleshooting, repairs, calibration, and upkeep of equipment and systems to ensure safety, efficiency, reliability, and compliance with GMP, regulatory, and production standards.
- Maintain inventory management for spare parts and equipment, oversee utilities operations, and upkeep of facilities.
- Assist team leads with timely completion of work, continue unfinished tasks from preceding shifts, and provide shift activity reports.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Be on-call for emergency repairs outside office hours including weekends and public holidays.
- Operate and maintain utilities and production support equipment to facilitate production processes.
- Coordinate utility shutdowns, startups, and equipment servicing and inspections.
- Identify and propose improvements to daily routine tasks and contribute to projects enhancing equipment efficiency, reducing energy usage, and cutting costs.
- Execute installations, modifications, fabrications, testing, servicing, and repairs following site change control protocols and minor projects.
- Perform equipment testing, commissioning, and qualification activities including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Lead Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) initiatives such as audits and training, submitting improvement recommendations.
- Complete tasks assigned by supervisors relating to equipment, documentation, or housekeeping.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation systems ensuring optimal equipment function.
- Perform calibration and preventive maintenance of various industrial instruments including sensors, recorders, control valves, and analyzers.
- Follow CMMS work instructions to isolate and reconnect electrical supplies, repair faults, and replace components.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting for PLC, Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Fire Alarm Systems (FAS).
- Utilize machining and fabrication skills as required.
- Participate in maintaining compliance with SHE, business, cGMP requirements, and supervise third-party contractors when necessary.
- Fulfill any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma, ITC, or NTC in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- Minimum of five years' experience in maintenance or related fields.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred, alternatively chemical or semiconductor sectors.
- Possession of PUB electrician license is advantageous.
- Skills in fitting and welding considered a plus.
