Role Summary

The Logistics Manager will oversee at least one major customer account, managing all aspects of shipment coordination. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all shipments for designated accounts are successfully transported and resolve escalated operational problems.
  • Leverage the Transportation Management System (TMS) for effective freight lifecycle management, maintaining precise and complete data.
  • Negotiate carrier contracts and establish strong partnerships with transportation providers.
  • Handle escalated issues such as claims and breakdowns promptly.
  • Analyze trends related to shippers, receivers, and carriers and propose improvements.
  • Support team growth by providing training, assigning tasks, tracking progress, setting goals, offering guidance, motivation, and corrective feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in transportation or logistics combined with a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience managing customer accounts.
  • One year of supervisory experience in a related setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, or related areas is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 applications including Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Experienced with industry platforms such as TruckStop, DAT, Highway, and Carrier 411.
  • Familiar with Transportation Management Systems.
