Job description
Role Overview
As the Lifestyle Team Leader at Yaralla Place, you will be essential in improving the lives of our residents by leading a committed team to design and deliver personalized leisure and lifestyle initiatives aligned with individual care plans. Your leadership ensures activities encourage physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and psychological wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and oversee a monthly activity calendar tailored to the residents' preferences and needs.
- Identify and encourage individual talents, hobbies, and lifestyle interests among residents.
- Manage the execution of leisure programs that address comprehensive well-being aspects of residents.
- Collaborate with care staff to align activities with care plans and promptly communicate any changes to the registered nurse.
- Promote an inclusive, adaptable environment prioritizing resident safety and preferences.
- Mentor and support new Lifestyle Officers, fostering teamwork and a collaborative workplace.
- Ensure all activities comply with Aged Care Quality Standards and internal policies.

Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years of experience as a Lifestyle Officer in aged care.
- Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain a current NDIS Worker Check.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative and adaptable approach to creating activities.
- Dedication to resident-focused care that enriches quality of life.
- Capability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
