Eden Academy Palm Beach is seeking a dependable Kitchen Hand to help keep its kitchen running smoothly in a new centre environment. This role supports the preparation of nourishing meals for children in a child-safe workplace committed to protecting, supporting, and empowering every child.

This opportunity suits someone wanting steady daytime work with no late nights or weekend shifts, making it easier to fit around personal commitments and lifestyle needs. The centre operates from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Work pattern

• Casual engagement with the possibility of moving into a permanent part-time position
• Standard hours: Monday to Thursday, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm
• Optional alternate Fridays: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
• Potential for a 9-day fortnight

What you will do

In this role, you will assist the chef in producing wholesome and tasty meals for children, while keeping the kitchen clean, orderly, and safe. You will work as part of a collaborative team and contribute directly to the health and wellbeing of the children through quality food service. The role also involves developing positive day-to-day relationships with staff, families, and children within the centre community.

What you need

To be successful, you should bring a Food Handling Certificate, a current Working with Children Check, Australian working rights, and a strong understanding of varied dietary needs and food sensitivities. A polished personal presentation and availability across Monday to Friday are also required.
