Key Account Manager - Grocery

About the Role

This position offers an exciting challenge at a leading global online delivery platform focused on enabling everyday convenience by connecting millions of customers with thousands of restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience partners worldwide.

As a hybrid role between acquisition and account management, you will serve as the primary contact for medium and large grocery partners on the platform. You will not only onboard new partners and lay the foundation for successful collaboration but also ensure they are well informed about our services and revenue growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new grocery partners across Germany.
• Expand and develop the existing customer base within the organization.
• Negotiate partnerships with key decision-makers and support pilot projects.
• Provide excellent, independent, comprehensive service and act as the first point of contact for partners.
• Strategically grow long-term customer relationships.
• Independently plan, prepare, conduct, and follow up on annual, acquisition, closing, and pricing negotiations, including documentation.
• Collaborate closely with your manager to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Successfully completed degree in economics, commercial training, or an equivalent qualification.
• Approximately 5 years of proven sales experience, with at least 3 years in the grocery or FMCG sector.
• Strong professionalism and competence in contract negotiations and strategic client management.
• Excellent communication skills and persuasive sales talent with proficient negotiation abilities.
• Structured, efficient, and independent work style in a fast-paced environment.
• Decisiveness, assertiveness, and persuasiveness.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, strategic approach, hands-on mentality, and enthusiasm for developing and pursuing new solutions.
• Fluent English proficiency and willingness to travel.
