Junior Relationship Manager - Financial Institutions Group

Overview

The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in London focuses on global banks, insurance companies, financial sponsors, and institutional investors connected to Asia. The team’s Sponsors division collaborates with top European private equity firms and financial sponsors, providing strategic banking throughout the investment lifecycle. Operating at the junction of Europe and Asia, it leverages DBS’s wide network across the UK, Greater China, Southeast Asia, and South Asia to assist clients with transactions, market access, and growth opportunities. This unit specializes in fund finance, offering various solutions such as acquisition and portfolio financing, fund distribution support, and tailored banking services for sponsor-backed companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed credit memoranda and perform thorough financial analyses for fund finance deals.
• Analyze credit risks and help structure appropriate financing solutions.
• Manage existing client relationships by ensuring timely and efficient responses to client needs.
• Assist Relationship Managers with identifying new business opportunities and growth strategies within the financial sponsor client sector.
• Review and interpret legal documents including loan and security agreements to ensure adherence to internal guidelines, credit approvals, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in ad hoc projects to support team and organizational goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 3 years of experience at a leading financial institution in corporate or investment banking, particularly involving fund finance or transaction structuring.
• Foundational knowledge of financial market products including structured solutions and hedging.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a firm grasp of credit risk principles.
• Broad familiarity with Global Transaction Services products.
• Effective team collaboration skills and ability to perform under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
• Right to work in the UK with no current or future sponsorship requirements.
