About nexwave
nexwave is an AI-led Microsoft consultancy that helps ambitious organisations deliver measurable outcomes across Data & AI, Cloud & Apps, AI, and Productivity. The company blends strong technical depth with practical consulting capabilities spanning strategy, delivery, training, change, and managed services.
The team works with customers to modernise data platforms, strengthen cloud foundations, build intelligent applications, apply AI responsibly, and improve how people work.
The people at nexwave, called nexxies, are creative technologists and pragmatic strategists who value high standards, integrity, and authentic partnership. The organisation is focused on creating a place where talented people can do excellent work, develop quickly, and help shape the future.
About the opportunity
nexwave is seeking a motivated, curious, and highly self-driven Junior Marketing Coordinator who is ready to take ownership and build practical, wide-ranging marketing experience. This role suits someone who shows initiative, brings energy, asks thoughtful questions, and helps move marketing work forward without needing constant direction.
The position offers exposure to content, social media, campaigns, customer stories, employer brand, events, awards, digital marketing, and sales enablement. For the right person, it provides a fast track to learning from senior leaders and gaining experience across many parts of a modern marketing function.
Why this role stands out
As nexwave grows, there is a strong need to elevate how the business presents itself in the market. In this role, you will work closely with business and technology leaders, contribute to meaningful initiatives, and help shape the company’s story, people, and capabilities.
Although this is a junior role in terms of experience, the expectation is for a mature, ambitious, and proactive approach.
What you will support
- Preparing and publishing LinkedIn posts, articles, and company updates
- Assisting with the creation of carousels, presentations, and other marketing materials
- Helping deliver campaigns aimed at customers, partners, and talent audiences
- Developing customer stories, case studies, and award entries
- Coordinating content contributions from leaders and subject matter experts
- Supporting employer branding, careers content, and people-focused communications
- Maintaining marketing calendars, content libraries, and campaign trackers
- Updating website content and supporting digital changes
- Proofreading content and checking quality before it goes live
- Helping coordinate events, launches, and company milestones
- Monitoring basic content and campaign results
- Spotting opportunities to improve how nexwave communicates and presents itself
What we are looking for
- Up to two years of experience in marketing, communications, content, or a related field
- Strong writing skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Good organisational ability and comfort managing several priorities at once
- Confidence working with Microsoft 365
- Exposure to Canva, LinkedIn, Figma, Adobe tools, or similar platforms
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning about Data, AI, and Cloud rather than only executing tasks
- A strong willingness to learn, accept feedback, and keep improving
- Interest in AI and digital marketing development
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support
Experience in technology, consulting, professional services, or a Microsoft-focused business would be an advantage, but it is not required.
Who this role is suited to
This position is ideal for a graduate, marketing assistant, junior coordinator, or early-career marketer who is ambitious, self-directed, and genuinely interested in marketing. The right person will be able to shape a clear and engaging story that supports the nexwave brand, take initiative, follow through on tasks, contribute ideas proactively, and enjoy learning through variety and responsibility.
You should take pride in producing thoughtful, high-quality work, work well both independently and with others, and want to progress quickly through broad, real-world experience.
What you will gain
- Exposure across nearly every area of marketing
- Direct access to experienced business and technology leaders
- Hands-on experience in content, campaigns, customer marketing, and employer brand
- Access to leading AI tools, including Microsoft M365 Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude, for research, ideation, content creation, and productivity
- Opportunities to build capability across data, cloud, and the wider Microsoft ecosystem
- Coaching, feedback, and room to grow
- A collaborative, low-ego culture that values initiative
Application note
Interested candidates can apply through LinkedIn or send a CV and examples of content they have created to team@nexwave.com.au.

Additional notes
