Job description
Role Overview
This position involves comprehensive accounting responsibilities alongside back office functions primarily using Tally Prime software. The candidate will manage financial entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and assist in compliance with tax regulations including GST and TDS. Coordination with auditors and preparation of management information systems will also be part of the duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries within Tally Prime.
- Maintain up-to-date customer and supplier ledger accounts.
- Perform bank statement reconciliations and ledger cross-checking to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare detailed GST computations and verify related works.
- Support reconciliation activities for returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-2B.
- Calculate, record, and ensure compliance for Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) procedures.
- Supervise tracking of receivables and payables efficiently.
- Assist in month-end closing processes and prepare MIS reports for management use.
- Collaborate effectively with auditors and financial consultants by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure adherence to company policies for accounting and maintain proper documentation standards.
