Job Overview
The IT Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering various IT modules as part of the Foundation program at Qatar Technical Institute in Doha. The role demands adaptability to accommodate training needs that may evolve over time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and conduct IT lessons both in classrooms and workshop settings aligned with internationally recognized qualifications for IT users in workplace environments.
- Apply diverse teaching techniques ranging from formal presentations to student-centered inquiry-based learning methods.
- Create organized lesson plans with clearly defined learning objectives and outcomes utilizing online Learning Management Systems.
- Administer assessments adhering to established assessment strategies to uphold training standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain consistent, high-quality IT instruction.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach ensuring learner satisfaction.
- Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) requirements and relevant statutory, regulatory, and corporate policies within the training environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years teaching IT with English as the medium of instruction.
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.
- Possession of a teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specializing in IT.
Preferred Additional Skills and Experience
- Previous teaching experience in the Middle East region.
- Experience delivering externally accredited qualifications or vocational training.
- Ability to teach subjects such as engineering, science, or mathematics if required.
- Two years’ experience in designing training programs using instructional design models like BSAT/DSAT or ADDIE.
