Role Overview
The Investment Analyst position involves diverse investment duties encompassing acquisition, asset management, and capital markets activities. This role is highly visible and requires collaboration with senior management and teams handling property leasing, development, and construction. Key responsibilities include underwriting and due diligence for capital transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, and recapitalizations, focusing heavily on advanced financial modeling, providing information to stakeholders, cash flow analysis, and other designated projects.
Daily Responsibilities
Day-to-day tasks for this role are varied and include analyzing financial statements, constructing financial models, coordinating with internal teams to compile information for lenders and investors, conducting market analysis for transactions, and reviewing lease or loan documents to extract important terms and controls.
- Developing and updating Argus models to support investors, lenders, and consultants
- Creating annual business plans for portfolio assets and investment memorandums for new opportunities
- Maintaining complex Excel models projecting 10-year cash flows to calculate IRR, cash flow multiples, and related profit metrics
- Managing property and comparable portfolio databases for effective portfolio oversight
- Engaging in communication with external parties including lenders, appraisers, consultants, and capital partners

Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of two years’ professional experience in a high-pressure environment, preferably in real estate
- Strong enthusiasm for real estate and asset management sectors
- Meticulous attention to detail with excellent numerical and mental math skills
- Leadership potential with willingness to take initiative on projects
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including strong business writing and proofreading abilities
- Advanced competence in Excel modeling; proficiency with Argus software is advantageous
Compensation and Company
The salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, with exact figures determined by candidates’ qualifications, skills, and geographic location. Eligible employees can participate in the annual bonus program.
