Job Description

Hodgson Design Associates seeks Intermediate Interior Designers passionate about design excellence and creativity to join their team. Current projects include luxury homes in Vancouver, commercial and residential high-rise towers, retail stores, sales presentation centers in British Columbia and China, as well as commercial office interiors.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong motivation and initiative
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design
• Minimum of four years of relevant Canadian experience in conceptual design, construction drawings, and project coordination
• Background in designing medium to large-scale projects, specifically within the high-rise mixed-use sector
• Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, rendering, and graphic software
• Excellent design abilities supported by advanced rendering and graphic skills
• Experience in developing construction details and understanding sequencing
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; Mandarin language skills are advantageous but not required
• Excellent time management and attention to detail

Compensation and Work Environment

Salary and contract details will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. The office is situated in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighborhood within the Armory district, just a short five-minute walk from Granville Island. It offers easy access to a variety of amenities, waterfront areas, and public transportation, with ample parking for those commuting by car or bike.
