Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager position is a full-time, on-site role located in Harare. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive HR functions such as managing recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance assessment, and employee relations. This role involves creating and upholding HR policies, assisting leadership with workforce strategy, and ensuring adherence to labor laws and company standards. Daily tasks include coordinating payroll and benefits in cooperation with finance, maintaining HR information systems, organizing staff training and development programs, and fostering a positive and inclusive company culture that aligns with corporate strategic goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience managing core HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy formulation.
- Deep understanding of labor legislation, compliance norms, and HR best practices, especially within financial services or technology sectors.
- Proficiency with HR information systems, Microsoft Office suite, and foundational data analytics for HR reporting and insights.
- Strong communication skills, conflict resolution abilities, and interpersonal competencies to engage effectively across departments and hierarchy levels.
- Excellent organizational aptitude, time management, attention to detail, and capability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Expertise in designing and delivering training, facilitating change management, and enhancing employee engagement.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a closely related discipline; additional professional HR certification is advantageous.
- Previous experience as an HR Manager or senior HR role, ideally within payments, financial services, or technology-focused companies.
