Role Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is a remote contract position that contributes to daily HR operations across several functional areas. This role helps keep employee information current, supports onboarding and offboarding, and ensures data is accurately maintained in HR information systems. It also assists with benefits administration, organizes training sessions, and handles employee questions in a prompt, professional way. Working closely with HR leadership and internal teams, the assistant helps maintain correct records, policy compliance, and smooth HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee records and keep HR data accurate and up to date.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities from an administrative standpoint.
- Enter and update information in HRIS platforms.
- Assist with benefits-related tasks such as enrollment updates, changes, and employee communication.
- Help coordinate training sessions, including scheduling and logistics support.
- Respond to employee inquiries courteously and within a reasonable time frame.
- Work with HR management and internal stakeholders to support documentation, compliance, and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a strong grounding in human resources and HR administration, along with hands-on familiarity with HRIS tools and accurate employee data management. Experience supporting benefits administration and training coordination is important, as is the ability to stay organized, manage several tasks at once, and meet deadlines while working remotely. Clear written and verbal communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and comfort using digital productivity tools are also required. Prior experience in an HR support or administrative role is preferred, and an associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is beneficial.
