Position Overview
As an HPLC Chemist based at the Castlebar site in County Mayo, you will collaborate closely with various departments including Microbiology, Validation, Production, and Engineering. Multiple openings exist across all shifts, with shift premiums incorporated.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of samples at different stages within the manufacturing process.
- Operate and maintain advanced instrumentation such as HPLC, UPLC, and GC.
- Interpret analytical data adhering to strict documentation standards.
- Report analytical outcomes clearly.
- Review work performed by fellow HPLC Chemists for compliance.
- Ensure compliant operation of the HPLC Chemistry laboratory.
- Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively with chemists and production teams to maintain compliance and optimize efficiencies.
- Support preparation and approval of Quality Reviews and Annual Product Quality Reviews.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements through quality data and reporting to optimize business processes.
- Maintain quality assurance programs and laboratory procedures.
- Assist with the batch release process.
- Provide support during inspections and audits in coordination with the QA department.
- Contribute to new product introductions from a Quality Assurance perspective.
Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Chemistry or a relevant scientific field.
- At least one year of practical experience with HPLC instrumentation and associated software for data collection and processing.
- Experience specifically with Waters HPLC systems and Empower software is mandatory.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
