Hotel Attendant

Role overview

Rising Star Casino is hiring a Hotel Attendant to support housekeeping and hotel-amenities operations in the property. This position focuses on keeping guest-facing and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and fully stocked while helping the housekeeping team with laundry, linens, and room turnover support.

Essential job functions

• Remove linen, trash, and supplies from corridors, stairways, and vending-area spaces.
• Sweep, mop, restock, and keep supply and linen storage areas in order.
• Clean the laundry room by sweeping and mopping when required.
• Handle hotel linens by sorting, washing, drying, and folding them.
• Collect soiled linen and trash from room attendant carts and guest rooms throughout the day.
• Complete assigned traces and respond to radio calls for the hotel team.
• Vacuum and edge all assigned floors.
• Dust and clean hallway signs, fire extinguishers, laundry equipment, and vents.
• Clean elevator lobby areas and keep mirrors free of smudges and marks.
• Prepare rollaway beds when they are not already made up.
• Remove marks from hallway surfaces.
• Sweep and mop stairwells.
• Pick up litter and empty trash bins in parking-lot areas as needed.
• Attend all chemical-handling and safety training sessions.
• Follow all safety procedures and rules.
• Move boxes, furniture, and other items as needed.
• Make beds for room attendants when support is needed.
• Operate both electric and non-electric equipment assigned to the role.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Housekeeping & Hotel Amenities Supervisor.
• Follow company policies at all times.
• Provide service to internal and external guests in a way that reflects the S.T.A.R. culture: Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation, and Recognition.
• Report any internal control or state-regulation violation related to gaming activity immediately to the on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security, and the Supervisor on Duty, in line with the company self-reporting policy.

Additional job functions

• Handle miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Maintain and use assigned equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with others are required.
• A valid state driver’s license is required if assigned.
