Home Support Worker

Overview

YYC Home Care Services is looking for a home support worker to provide hands-on care and daily living assistance at a physical work location in Calgary, Alberta. This role cannot be done remotely.

Language

English is required.

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is needed.

Experience

Applicants should have 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside support and personal care to clients.
• Help clients with bathing and other personal hygiene needs.
• Support regular exercise such as walking.
• Assist with feeding when needed.
• Wash clothing and household linens.
• Carry out light cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Offer companionship and day-to-day personal support.
• Help with personal care activities.
• Buy food and other household necessities.
• Plan, prepare, and serve healthy meals.
• Cook meals as required.

Credentials

CPR certification and First Aid certification are required.
