About the Role
A Mining Company is in search of a proactive and commercially savvy Head of Procurement to establish and lead the procurement division supporting exploration, development, and on-site operations in Papua New Guinea. The position is based in Brisbane with required travel and presence intermittently in Papua New Guinea.
Key Responsibilities
This senior role encompasses comprehensive procurement responsibilities including formulating sourcing strategies, engaging and developing suppliers, and overseeing purchasing activities in remote and challenging environments. Close collaboration with the Head of Logistics is a crucial aspect of this position.
Experience & Location
The candidate should bring over 10 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years dedicated to the mining sector. The work location is primarily in Brisbane with part-time duties in Papua New Guinea.
