ملازمت کی تفصیل
Overview
Aware Healthcare, an early-stage mental health technology startup based in San Francisco, is seeking a resourceful and hands-on Head of Operations to join their leadership team. This full-time on-site role involves partnering with the CEO and Head of Therapy to manage all facets of company operations, both internally and in customer-facing functions. The goal is to transform mental health care through data-driven, quality-focused therapy experiences.
About Aware Healthcare
Aware is driven by its mission to build the highest quality therapy system, addressing the vast mental health care gap where only 10% of the 100 million affected Americans receive science-based treatment. By leveraging a data platform, Aware has secured contracts with the top seven insurance companies, unlocking access to over 200 million people and offering competitive reimbursement rates. The company has raised $5.7 million from notable technology investors and was founded in 2020 by AJ Goldstein, formerly associated with Calm and Oura.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and Head of Therapy to oversee all company operations internally and externally.
- Manage functions including operations management, customer success, finance, human resources, and legal affairs.
- Act as a versatile contributor, rapidly learning new areas and fulfilling the company's evolving needs.
- Develop and implement standardized operating procedures such as toolkits, handbooks, and checklists to ensure uniform, high-quality customer experiences nationwide.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and engineer solutions that amplify organizational efficiency, optimizing time, resources, and information flow.
- Foster open communication throughout the organization, ensuring team members feel supported, well-equipped, and content in their roles.
- Serve as a trusted adviser by offering insightful feedback, asking probing questions, and challenging decisions constructively.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: At least 5 years in operational roles with a minimum of 2 years managing direct reports and over 1 year of hiring and firing experience, preferably having led operations in fast-growing, venture-backed startups.
- Preferred Qualifications: Background in healthcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Mindset: Embraces a generalist approach, believes in no task being beneath them, thinks like a business operator, and thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Skills: Exceptional quick learner, innovative problem solver, highly organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities without losing focus.
- Desire: Passionate about autonomy, mastery, and mission-driven work in a high-growth startup context.
Non-fit Profile
- Candidates seeking a predictable 9-to-5 role will not align with the fast-paced, dynamic startup culture.
- Those reluctant to take ownership or uncomfortable with ambiguity and rapid change may struggle in this role.
Company Culture and Benefits
- Opportunity to impact the future of mental health on a large scale through a mission-oriented team.
- Environment that supports personal growth, autonomy, mastery, and purposeful work.
- Comprehensive health benefits including full coverage of premium medical, dental, and vision from the first day of employment.
- A unique company culture with strong core values emphasizing growth, relentless pursuit of excellence, quality-first mindset, first principles thinking, data-driven decision making, and radical candor.
- Competitive salary package, equity options, and flexible vacation and time-off policies.
Company Values
- Growth: Focused on continuous improvement and learning from mistakes.
- Relentless: Demonstrates persistence and creative problem-solving when facing challenges.
- Quality First: Prioritizes delivering exceptional, consistent experiences in mental health care.
- First Principles: Applies foundational thinking to challenge assumptions and innovate.
