Overview

Lead initiatives promoting curriculum excellence and foster high-quality teaching and learning as the Head of Department at Warwick State High School. Your Role

As Head of Department for Health and Physical Education and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Manager, you will oversee:

  • Educational outcomes, focusing on curriculum from Years 7 to 12, maintaining and improving achievement levels, particularly raising A-B grades.
  • Fostering an inclusive culture across classrooms through differentiated instruction and support for students with disabilities.
  • Strategic leadership informed by achievement data and behaviour profiles.
  • Leading relational pedagogy to promote a positive school culture.
  • Managing a team of 25 staff aligned with the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) and priority objectives.
  • Ensuring quality assurance procedures for certificate programs and effective RTO management.
  • Enhancing certificate course offerings to align with community needs.
  • Overseeing sports coordination within the school.

Candidate Profile and Assessment

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong teaching proficiency along with the ability to lead curriculum initiatives that result in improved learning outcomes for all students.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain constructive relationships within the school and wider community.
