Head - High Speed Rolling Mill Operations

Role overview

The position is for a senior leader to oversee high-speed rolling mill operations in Jamuria. The scope covers TMT and WRM production, end-to-end operations, maintenance, and related project work.

Key responsibilities

The role includes managing the full flow from raw material to finished goods, with close attention to quality, cost control, productivity improvement, troubleshooting, and day-to-day plant performance. The incumbent will also be involved in capex and opex planning, coordination for dispatches, team supervision, liaison with relevant stakeholders, and MIS preparation.

Additional scope

This role also involves production and maintenance leadership for high-speed rolling mill activities, along with project-related work as needed.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for an engineer with a strong mechanical background and experience relevant to rolling mill operations, steel plant functions, and operational management.

Requirements

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in high-speed rolling mill operations, especially TMT and WRM.
• Working knowledge of production, operations, and maintenance in a steel plant environment.
• Ability to manage teams, solve operational issues, and coordinate across functions.
• Exposure to quality, costing, dispatch planning, capex, opex, and MIS reporting.
