Grocery Clerk – Part-Time or Full-Time

About the Role

The Lake Cowichan branch is seeking a Grocery Clerk to become a valued member of their team. This role requires offering exceptional customer care, demonstrating product knowledge, and crafting attractive product presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to customers and ensure their satisfaction.
• Restock shelves and arrange product displays effectively.
• Help customers by answering product-related questions and suggesting items.
• Manage incoming inventory and label products with pricing information.
• Assist customers with bagging their groceries as needed.
• Carry out general cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Experience and Conditions

• Prior retail experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Must be able to frequently bend, twist, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
• Capability to remain on foot and walk for the entire work shift.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
• A proactive and motivated approach to work.
• Strong willingness to provide excellent customer service and follow set procedures.
• Open to learning new skills and receptive to coaching and feedback.

Work Schedule

• Availability for flexible working hours is required.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and during holidays.

Compensation
