Graphic Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking an inventive and meticulous Graphic Designer to join our software solutions firm. The position involves crafting captivating designs and developing both digital and print assets, including visually striking materials for large-scale events. The candidate must be available to work onsite in Herndon, VA, five days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Create impactful visuals tailored for tradeshows, exhibitions, and large-scale event settings.
• Understand large-format printing specifics such as resolution needs, material options, and print processes for backdrops, banners, and display booths.
• Design various print materials including posters, brochures, flyers, business cards, wall graphics, glass frosting, window clings, signage, and custom promotional items.
• Manage print production workflows encompassing file prep, color profiles, bleeds, and liaising with print vendors to secure high-quality finishes and large-format outputs.
• Develop striking graphics for websites, social media channels, and digital marketing efforts while ensuring brand cohesion through strong typography, color theory, and layout skills.
• Utilize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign proficiently to produce vector illustrations, branding collateral, and digital elements.
• Possess knowledge of web design fundamentals, UX best practices, and responsive design principles.
• Operate CMS platforms such as WordPress or Webflow to design and maintain website content optimized for user experience and visual appeal.
• Apply SEO best practices in web design and demonstrate a basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least eight years of professional experience in graphic design covering print, digital media, and large-format projects.
• Proven ability to lead creative directions and deliver design strategies for clients, internal teams, or stakeholders.
• Capability to accurately translate brand identities into compelling visuals aligned with project goals.
• Excellent communication skills to explain design decisions and effectively process feedback.
• Experience in creating and maintaining brand guidelines to ensure uniformity across different formats and mediums.
• Proficient in developing comprehensive brand identity systems including typography, color palettes, and logo standards.
• Demonstrated experience producing digital graphics and content for online platforms.
• Familiarity with large-scale event graphics production and specialized knowledge of materials and printing processes.
• Skilled in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro or equivalent video editing software.
• Previous experience using WordPress or Webflow CMS for website development and upkeep.
• Solid understanding of print production standards, file preparations, and vendor coordination.

Additional Information: This role requires consistent onsite presence at the Herndon, VA location, working all five weekdays.
