Graphic Design Support Volunteer

Assignment Overview

This opportunity entails a short-term, remote volunteering role focused on graphic design support. The assignment is non-contractual and unpaid, conducted online, with a certificate of appreciation awarded upon successful completion. Volunteers are not UN staff and receive no allowances or entitlements.

Host and Location

The position is hosted by UNIC Manama, operating remotely but based in Bahrain.

Duration and Commitment

The assignment spans 12 weeks, requiring volunteers to contribute between 1 to 5 hours each week.

Project Purpose

UNIC Manama aims to foster greater awareness and support for the United Nations by disseminating information throughout Bahrain and the Gulf region.

Tasks and Deliverables

• Create designs and artwork for public information products that communicate UN messages effectively.
• Design two newsletters, each comprising 6-7 pages.
• Produce 2-3 infographics per week for social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Volunteer Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in graphic design, including document layout creation.
• Proficiency in graphic design software applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Degree in graphic design or related discipline is a plus.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
