Role Overview
We are looking to onboard a Board Game Reasoning Expert to join on a full-time remote basis, supporting advanced AI training and evaluation. The specialist will harness their proficiency across board games, intricate game mechanics, strategic reasoning, probabilistic analysis, and complex rule frameworks to develop and refine high-quality datasets that enhance AI capabilities. This position entails tasks surrounding game logic, decision-making processes, strategic planning, rule interpretation, and scenario assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and assess reasoning tasks based on board games to test AI systems' capabilities.
- Analyze diverse board game situations, decision trees, and rule-based environments systematically.
- Review AI generated outputs to ensure they meet standards of accuracy, reliability, and logical soundness.
- Create prompts, evaluation criteria, and guidelines tailored for board game and strategy-related AI tasks.
- Detect logical inconsistencies, breaches of rules, and flawed reasoning within AI results.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, cognitive science, game design, philosophy, economics, or a comparable analytical discipline.
- Minimum of two years experience professionally or semi-professionally in board game design, playtesting, or within tabletop game communities with strategic focus.
- Profound knowledge of logical frameworks, probabilistic reasoning models, game mechanics, and elaborate rule systems.
- Background in areas such as game theory, behavioral economics, decision sciences, or formal logic principles.
- Well-versed with contemporary board games, trading card games (TCGs), tabletop RPGs, strategy-based games, or competitive gaming setups.
