Full-Time Food Service Worker

Job Overview

As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for meal preparation, presentation, and service, ensuring that food quality and appearance meet standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding.
• Transport food items such as pans, kettles, and trays safely between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators according to safety protocols.
• Properly store food items with appropriate wrapping, labeling, and rotation to maintain freshness and safety.
• Set up daily sales items for customers.
• Perform cleaning tasks including trash disposal and maintaining sanitation standards.
• Distribute necessary supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Follow approved recipes and production guidelines to maintain consistent food quality, appropriate serving temperatures, and portion control; inform cooks if food temperatures are out of acceptable range.
• Serve customers politely and efficiently using the designated service procedures.
• Address customer concerns promptly and communicate them to supervisors.
• Comply with all sanitation and safety regulations.
• Provide service across all retail areas, including cashier duties and line serving.

Qualifications

• FoodSafe Level 1 certification is mandatory.
• Experience with cash registers is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle heavy workloads efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient command of English, both spoken and written, to comprehend instructions accurately.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, or fast food industries is a plus.
• Physical capability to perform the job duties effectively.
