About the Role
We are collaborating with a reputable energy company to recruit an FP&A Analyst. This pivotal role combines financial modeling, forecasting, performance evaluation, and collaboration with various internal stakeholders. The role provides significant interaction with senior management, full ownership of budgeting and planning activities, and the chance to impact key decisions through insightful financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles to ensure submissions are on time and accurate.
- Collaborate with business units to understand financial factors, highlight risks and opportunities, and aid commercial decision-making.
- Examine monthly financial results, prepare detailed variance analyses, and present insights to senior stakeholders.
- Create and refine financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools to enhance transparency and precision.
- Promote continuous improvement and support automation within FP&A processes.
- Uphold strong governance, ensure compliance with controls, and align activities with audit standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience.
- Exceptional financial, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with data-centric analysis; knowledge of Power BI or similar software is a plus.
- Effective communicator able to confidently engage and challenge senior leaders.
- Well-organized, detail-focused, and adept at handling multiple competing tasks.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, or financial modeling is advantageous; familiarity with SAP or other planning tools is beneficial.
