About the Company
This well-established, Irish-owned organisation operates globally within the construction sector. They are currently seeking an experienced Financial Reporting & Analytics Accountant to join their finance team on an 18-month contract basis in Dublin. This hybrid role offers interaction with senior leadership and the chance to contribute to group-level financial reporting activities.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be central to managing financial reporting, performance analysis and providing management information throughout the organisation. Key duties include coordinating group month-end reporting, delivering insightful financial commentary, and preparing executive presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the monthly Group reporting process along with preparing comprehensive Group reporting packs.
- Ensure adherence to Group accounting standards and reporting policies.
- Assist with quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reporting obligations.
- Serve as the primary interface between the business units and Group Finance.
- Provide financial analysis and insights focused on profitability, expenditure, inventory levels, working capital, and cash flow dynamics.
- Track forecast accuracy and highlight business risks and opportunities.
- Create high-quality monthly management presentations and detailed executive commentary.
- Support senior management by fulfilling ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified accountant designation such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in month-end group reporting and consolidation processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong skills in PowerPoint.
- Background in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors is preferred.
- Excellent analytical ability with a keen eye for detail and capability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong data management and interpretation skills to convert complex data into strategic insights for various managerial levels including senior leadership.
