Financial Accountant

About the Role

A prominent international trading company is inviting applications for a meticulous and proactive Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Dubai. This position provides valuable experience working with multi-entity and multi-currency operations, enhancing skills in financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and ERP management in a vibrant, international setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts accurately.
• Manage month-end and year-end financial close procedures.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports.
• Handle intercompany accounting and confirm balances.
• Support inventory valuation and cost accounting processes.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting tasks.
• Ensure VAT compliance and prepare related reports.
• Assist with external audit requirements and coordination.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of three years' experience in financial accounting roles.
• Well-versed in IFRS standards and financial control principles.
• Preferably experienced in sectors such as trading, logistics, manufacturing, commodities, or inventory-driven businesses.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Experience handling multi-currency accounting is considered advantageous.

The position is located at Jebel Ali, Dubai. Work will be conducted on-site, and the employment type is a fixed-term contract.
