About the Role
Quantum Global is seeking a proactive Field Executive on a full-time basis for an initial one-month contract located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role involves critical support in product sourcing and prototyping activities, focusing on vendor and manufacturer engagements to facilitate prototype development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits to manufacturers, suppliers, and production sites to identify suitable products and capabilities.
- Source and collect prototypes, product samples, and necessary materials for evaluation.
- Manage coordination with manufacturers for prototype development including modifications and repeated iterations.
- Gather detailed quotations, pricing structures, minimum order quantities (MOQ), lead times, and other essential product data.
- Ensure timely delivery of prototypes and samples through consistent vendor follow-ups.
- Document manufacturing processes by capturing photographs, videos, measurements, and other relevant information during visits.
- Act as a communication link between manufacturers/vendors and internal product and engineering teams.
- Maintain tracking and follow-up for multiple ongoing prototype requests to secure timely closures.
- Research and build relationships with new manufacturers and suppliers to expand vendor networks.
- Support product testing, quality control, and sample approval processes as required.
- Travel extensively within Bengaluru and other areas relevant to project needs.
- Keep thorough records of all vendor interactions, product samples, quotations, and prototype statuses.
Candidate Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in field operations, product sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, or vendor management.
- Prior exposure dealing directly with manufacturers, suppliers, or workshops is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently and visit production and workshop sites.
- Excellent attention to detail with the capacity to maintain accurate product and vendor documentation.
- Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets as well as mobile applications.
- Possession of a two-wheeler and valid driving license is desirable.
- A proactive attitude coupled with practical problem-solving skills and confidence to work independently.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and execute follow-ups diligently.
Additional Information
- This position demands hands-on, field-based work rather than desk-bound tasks.
- The initial appointment is for one month with the possibility of extension based on individual performance and organizational needs.
- The role requires full-time availability and entails significant travel to vendor and manufacturing sites.
