Candidate Profile

• A PhD in a computing discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems from an accredited university in North America or Europe is expected.
• Preference is given to specializations in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Analytics, Digital Transformation, Game Development, Robotics, Drones, or Mobile App Development.
• Experience or familiarity with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is desirable for curriculum integration.
• The candidate should have a strong record of teaching quality.
• There should be evidence of ability to secure external research funding and produce strong research output.
• Applicants should show a history of, or potential for, publication in leading international peer-reviewed journals, including ISI and Scopus Q1/Q2 outlets.
• Experience supervising research students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is required.
• Flexibility to expand into new curriculum areas if needed is important.

Salary and Benefits

The university provides a competitive salary package, determined by academic qualification, rank, and teaching experience. The appointment is a one-year renewable contract, subject to Dean/Director approval and student evaluation.

• Medical insurance for the employee and dependents living in the Kingdom, including spouse and up to 4 children below 24 years of age.
• Transport allowance.
• Annual round-trip tickets for up to 4 people: employee, spouse, and 2 children below 18 years of age.
• Two months of paid summer vacation, plus two local paid holidays of about 15 days each where applicable.
• School tuition support up to SAR 30,000 for children studying within the Kingdom, with final details set out in the contract.
• Free furnished accommodation with essential utilities and maintenance, subject to availability, or a housing allowance based on academic rank.
• End-of-service yearly gratuity starting from the second year of continuous service, provided the candidate completes at least 2 years.
