Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Façade Designer at junior to mid level to contribute to the planning and delivery of façade and building envelope solutions across commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use developments. In this role, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and project teams to create design drawings, technical details, and construction documents while keeping work aligned with project needs and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of façade and envelope systems, including curtain wall systems, unitized façades, stick curtain wall systems, windows and doors, aluminium cladding, glazing systems, louvres, canopies, skylights, and other façade-related components.
- Draft design documentation such as design drawings, material drawings, shop drawings, and material schedules.
- Develop façade details based on project specifications, structural requirements, and architectural intent.
- Examine architectural and engineering drawings to identify façade requirements and assess buildability.
- Assist with material selection and evaluation of façade system options.
- Join technical discussions and design coordination workshops as needed.
- Work to ensure drawings and designs comply with relevant building regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Use of BIM tools for coordination and clash detection, including Revit or similar platforms, is considered an advantage.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field is required.
Junior-level candidates should have 1 to 3 years of façade design experience, while mid-level candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience.
Prior exposure to building envelope and façade systems is preferred.
Technical Skills
Relevant software includes AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Revit is preferred, and Rhino is an added advantage.
