Executive/Assistant Manager - Supplier Quality (Machining & Casting Audit)

Role Overview

This position is with a leading German multinational company and is focused on supplier quality activities for machining and casting-related parts in support of active projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and qualify suppliers for machining and casting operations to keep current projects running smoothly.
• Carry out supplier audits for onboarding new vendors and for driving ongoing process improvements.
• Work with suppliers in serial production to raise performance and strengthen quality systems.
• Draft and maintain material-field-specific quality requirements.
• Support structured problem-solving activities and manage shop-floor claims effectively.
• Assist in the rollout and execution of the Q-focus program.
• Contribute to cost-reduction efforts and support new design concepts for MPP projects.

Qualifications

The role calls for a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, along with more than 7 years of industry experience and over 2 years in quality management.

Preferred Knowledge and Exposure

• Strong hands-on experience with machining and casting machining processes.
• Working familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 standards.
• Practical knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and 8D methodologies.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in challenging and complex situations and build effective working relationships.
• VDA 6.3 auditor certification will be considered an advantage.
• Well-developed soft skills, including authenticity, teamwork, sociability, organization, and self-reliance.
• Comfortable working under pressure.
• Open to frequent travel.
