Role Purpose
The HR Executive - Labour Relations will manage employee relations, ensure comprehensive compliance with labour law, and foster harmonious industrial relations. Key duties include resolving grievances, overseeing disciplinary processes, collaborating with unions, and maintaining statutory compliance while encouraging a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an intermediary between management and employees to handle grievances and disputes.
- Conduct disciplinary actions and domestic inquiries to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, unions, and worker committees.
- Champion employee engagement and promote a supportive workplace environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to labour laws such as Provident Fund, ESI, gratuity, and minimum wages regulations.
- Maintain all statutory records and registers as mandated by law.
- Coordinate audits, government inspections, and submissions required by authorities.
- Manage interactions and negotiations with unions and oversee collective bargaining processes.
- Assist in crafting and applying industrial relations policies and agreements.
- Monitor the industrial climate to prevent disputes or strikes.
- Implement company HR policies compliant with legal standards and update them as regulations evolve.
- Keep accurate records of employee data, disciplinary proceedings, and compliance documentation.
- Generate management information system reports covering industrial relations topics, absenteeism, attrition, and grievances.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, or Industrial Relations.
- Between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in labour relations, industrial relations, or HR operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of labour legislation and statutory compliance.
- Strong abilities in conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with MS Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- High commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Skills in stakeholder management, attention to detail, and managing pressure.
