Ex-MBB Strategy Consultant - AI Training (Remote)

About the Role

Mindrift, powered by Toloka, is a leading AI and machine learning data partner focused on driving frontier model post-training through domain-specific reinforcement learning environments and evaluation frameworks developed by expert practitioners. We are launching a new Management Consulting domain to convert authentic consulting project experience into advanced AI training environments.

This initiative brings together former consultants from top-tier firms to build structured learning examples covering all phases of consulting engagements, including problem framing, planning, analysis, synthesis, and delivering client-ready recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop authentic consulting project scenarios reflecting real-world dynamics such as industry context, financial data, operational constraints, conflicting inputs, and incomplete information.
• Create structured tasks for AI agents that mimic real consulting activities like market sizing, due diligence, cost optimization, growth strategy, operational analysis, and benchmarking.
• Establish evaluation frameworks with grading rubrics and benchmark solutions to train large language models in assessing AI outputs effectively and at scale.

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is exclusively available to consultants with hands-on experience from leading strategy firms including McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte (Deloitte S&C), EY-Parthenon, Kearney, and Strategy& (PwC).

Candidates are expected to have a minimum of three years in consulting with practical exposure to structuring ambiguous problems, developing financial models and market analysis, producing client-level deliverables under time constraints, and forming recommendations under uncertainty. No advanced technical expertise is necessary as training on tools will be provided.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Strong capability in structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven analysis.
• Proficiency in translating vague problems into clear analytical plans and outputs.
• Meticulous attention to logical coherence and quality assurance in deliverables.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities autonomously.
• Clear written communication skills in English at B2 level or higher.

Compensation

Compensation can reach up to $60 per hour equivalent, subject to contributor’s expertise, pace, and project complexity. Different projects may offer varying earn rates depending on their specific demands.
