ETL Tester

Role overview

This position is for an ETL testing professional at Virtusa in Bengaluru. The role calls for someone who understands the full software delivery lifecycle, from analysis and design through coding, system and user testing, issue resolution, and planning.

What you’ll be doing

• Contribute to analysis, design, coding, testing, defect resolution, and planning across the development cycle.
• Test automation and software code carefully, including debugging your own automation scripts.
• Work with business stakeholders and project team members to support delivery outcomes.
• Communicate progress and findings clearly in writing, in conversation, and through presentations.
• Apply time, project, and process management practices to stay organized and effective.

What we’re looking for

• Strong analytical ability and the flexibility to learn new processes quickly.
• Hands-on Python knowledge.
• Understanding of behavior-driven development and automated testing approaches.
• Ability to troubleshoot and validate both automation code and application code.
• Good interpersonal skills, relationship management, and facilitation capability.

Preferred technical experience

• Python development experience.
• Database testing with SQL.
• ETL and ELT testing experience.
• Exposure to AI/LLM platforms such as OpenAI GPT, Claude Sonnet, or similar tools.
• Awareness of AI ethics and bias detection in AI systems.
• Familiarity with web services testing.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of Airflow.
• Working knowledge of AWS.

Eligibility

Graduation is not mandatory for this role.
