Role Summary

The Equipment Logistics Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and optimization of heavy equipment mobilization, transportation, allocation, and utilization across several construction and infrastructure projects. This position ensures prompt availability of machinery to support operations while enforcing strict adherence to internal policies, health and safety standards, and Saudi regulatory frameworks. The role requires close collaboration with project teams, maintenance, procurement, and logistics vendors to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve effective fleet management necessary for successful EPC and infrastructure project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute equipment logistics strategies to guarantee timely mobilization, redeployment, demobilization, and allocation of heavy equipment across multiple project locations.
• Organize and oversee transportation logistics, assuring conformity with all applicable permits, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Enhance equipment utilization by tracking fleet availability and productivity, thereby maximizing operational output and minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and teams in Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, and Transport to align equipment provisioning with project demands.
• Supervise equipment movement, monitor transport schedules, and assess delivery performance to meet project milestones successfully.
• Manage partnerships with transport contractors, equipment suppliers, and logistics providers focusing on quality, cost efficiency, and contractual adherence.
• Control inventory management systems, documentation, and real-time asset tracking to maintain precise records of all fleet equipment.
• Guarantee compliance with corporate policies, health and safety regulations, and Saudi standards for heavy and oversized load transportation.
• Develop logistics plans, budget forecasts, utilization analytics, and key performance metrics; promote continuous cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the Equipment Logistics team, emphasizing safety culture, teamwork, accountability, and ongoing development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Preference for applicants with a Master's degree or professional certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, or PMP.
• Proven 8–12 years of relevant experience in equipment logistics, fleet operations, or heavy machinery transportation in sectors like EPC, construction, infrastructure, mining, or industrial environments.
• At least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity managing logistics or equipment teams.
• Knowledge of heavy haulage, oversized load transport regulations, and permit processes specific to Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in overseeing equipment lifecycle, maintenance planning, and optimal asset utilization.
• Track record managing complex service operations spanning multiple functional areas.
• Demonstrated success in handling the mobilization and transportation of heavy equipment across varied project sites.
• Prior involvement in major infrastructure or EPC projects within Saudi Arabia or the Gulf Cooperation Council is highly advantageous.
