Role Overview

We invite you to join the Maintenance team at our Western Port Manufacturing location in Hastings, Victoria, as an Electrical Maintenance Planner. As part of the Australian Steel Products portfolio, our Western Port sites operate continuously around the clock, producing diverse products and pioneering solutions for both local and export markets.

In this central role, you will employ extensive electrical expertise to plan, coordinate, and improve maintenance activities for manufacturing operations. This includes performing inspections, monitoring, detailed work planning, scheduling, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform thorough planning of maintenance tasks.
• Develop, execute, and oversee detailed shutdown maintenance plans and timelines.
• Coordinate labor, materials, and other resources for shutdown projects.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure efficient, cost-effective work execution.
• Manage task dependencies ensuring smooth coordination with other operational shutdown tasks.
• Review maintenance history data to enhance maintenance strategies.
• Analyze past work orders for necessary follow-ups and corrective actions.
• Align Safety, Quality, and Plant Critical priorities in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Supervise both internal personnel and external contractors.
• Manage maintenance spare parts usage, refurbishment, and replenishment processes.
• Conduct administrative duties including purchase order creation, invoice processing, and cost management.

Candidate Profile

• Preferred: Electrical trade qualification; Electrical Engineering qualifications with hands-on experience also considered.
• Proven expertise in planning and scheduling inspections and maintenance for continuous production equipment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with root cause analysis and applying investigative techniques to recommend corrective measures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build effective relationships.
• A strong commitment to personal and team safety and wellbeing.
