About the Role
WSP is a well-established consultancy within the construction sector, with particular strength in site supervision for infrastructure works including roads, tunnels, highways, and bridges. The organisation focuses on delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes while maintaining strong standards around safety and sustainability.
This opportunity is for an experienced Document Controller to join the Riyadh team in Saudi Arabia. The role calls for at least 5 years of relevant experience in document control, specifically gained in consultancy environments supporting site supervision on roads, tunnels, bridges, and highway projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, review, circulation, and filing of project documents such as reports, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Keep document versions accurate so teams always work from the latest approved files.
- Set up practical retrieval systems that make documents easy to locate for authorised users.
- Apply quality checks to help ensure documents are complete, correct, and properly maintained.
- Make sure document handling practices follow applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Train and assist staff in using document control procedures and related software tools.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and administrative colleagues to support document-driven workflows.
- Protect sensitive information by maintaining confidentiality and controlling access appropriately.
- Carry out routine reviews of document control activities to spot gaps and improve compliance.
- Look for ongoing ways to streamline document management and increase overall efficiency.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in document control within the consultancy sector, especially on infrastructure site supervision work involving roads, tunnels, bridges, and highways.
- Background in document control or records management.
- Strong working knowledge of document management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Well-developed organisational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Ability to perform independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal ability.
- Exposure to document management regulations such as ISO standards is an advantage.
- Certification related to document management, such as Certified Document Controller, is preferred.
- Candidates must be Saudi nationals.
